Taunton Camera Club meets every other Monday evening at 7:30 pm, from the beginning of September through to the end of May.

The club meetings are held in the United Reformed Church Hall, Paul Street, Taunton TA1 3PF, and are also available on Zoom. Please see the Programme page for more details.

Directions to the United Reformed Church Hall, where the in-person meetings are held, can be found on our How to Find Us page.

The Club also holds informal meetings in the intervening weeks, usually on Monday nights.

Our current membership represents virtually the whole spectrum of skills and interests. Some members rarely show off their work, whilst others have gained awards from the Royal Photographic Society and other such bodies.

Members pay an annual subscription fee, as set out below. Paid up members are eligible to enter club competitions, and also have the opportunity to have a gallery of their images on the club website.

Single: £50
Joint: £75
Under-18 in full-time education: £5

Annual membership fees halve for new members who join after 1st January.

There is also a £2 charge for attending a meeting in the URC Hall, to help cover the hall hire costs etc.

Young Persons Policy
Taunton Camera Club welcomes people under the age of 18 years and takes the duty of care to all individuals seriously.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or another adult designated in writing by the parent, at all club meetings. (If the accompanying adult is not a photographer and does not wish to involve themselves in club activities, no membership fee will apply).

The club may run occasional practical photographic events outside of the scheduled program. People under the age of 18 are welcome to attend but must be accompanied as outlined above.

No photographs of attendees under the age of 18 years will be taken at club meetings without the express permission of the parent or guardian.

Images displayed at club meetings may have the potential to cause distress, for example nudity, violence, prey and predator scenes in natural history etc. These images are valid subjects for photographers and parents, guardians and young people should be aware that these subjects may be presented. Every attempt will be made to forewarn the young person and his / her accompanying adult, should such images be displayed.

Any person under the age of 18 years who arrives at a club meeting without an accompanying adult will not be admitted.
