Welcome to Taunton Camera Club

Taunton Camera Club is one of the premier clubs of the South West, and has been established for over fifty years. The Club is open to anyone who is interested in photography, whatever their level of skill or the medium they use. Nearly all members use digital media, though a few still use traditional darkroom techniques. Several members have gained the top distinction from the Royal Photographic Society and some members exhibit nationally and internationally.

The Club meets every other Monday evening at 7:30pm, in the United Reformed Church Hall, Paul Street, Taunton (directions here), from the beginning of September through to the end of May. Meetings are also streamed on Zoom. See our Programme for the next event. The Club also holds informal meetings on the intervening weeks, usually on the Monday evening.

Members pay an annual subscription fee and an entrance fee on the night. Meetings take a variety of forms, with visiting speakers, regular competition nights, practical evenings and members sharing their own interests and skills. During the summer break, regular outside activities are arranged.

The club is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through the Western Counties Photographic Federation.

Come and join us for an evening or two and see if you like us – you’ll be most welcome.
